Privacy & Clinical Data Protection Policy

Effective Date: March 2026 · Practice of Dr. Julius Mautin Vitowanu

1. Our Commitment to Medical Confidentiality

As a neurosurgical practice, we adhere to the strictest ethical standards governing medical records and doctor-patient confidentiality. Any clinical context, personal contact details, or neuroimaging data submitted through this platform is handled exclusively by Dr. Vitowanu and his authorized clinical administrative team.

2. Information Collected

We collect only information necessary to process elective consultation requests, coordinate second opinions, or respond to physician referrals:

  • Patient identifying details (full name, date of birth, country and city of residence).
  • Contact details (verified email address, telephone/WhatsApp number).
  • Clinical context (symptom summary, onset timeline, previous imaging modality summaries).

3. Handling of Diagnostic Imaging & Medical Scans

Digital imaging files (DICOM datasets for MRI, CT, or Angiograms) contain sensitive health information. We do not store raw DICOM files in publicly accessible cloud directories. Dedicated, encrypted transmission conduits or physical disc delivery at LASUTH clinic visits are utilized to preserve clinical data integrity.

4. Zero Third-Party Commercial Sharing

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or expose patient information to third-party commercial advertisers or brokers. Information is shared only with multidisciplinary hospital specialists (such as neuro-radiologists, neuropathologists, or anesthesiologists) when directly necessary for your clinical care.

5. Inquiries & Data Rights
